This past month we had a number of activities to let you know about including:
- Your opportunity to invest in and own part of the PodRide business
- PodRide’s appearance at the Taipei International Cycle Show
- PodRide featured on Discovery Channel’s fantastic show: “Outrageous Acts of Science”.
DO YOU WANT TO INVEST IN PODRIDE?
The PodRide project is not moving forward as fast as we want, due to limited resources. So we need to raise investment. We plan on raising up to 500,000 Euros, to allow us to put in place the necessary people and other resources to get PodRide to market quickly.
We have the option to raise investment via traditional means, but in the past many of you have asked about investing in PodRide. So we would prefer to utilise equity crowd funding because that allows you, our awesome supporters to own a piece of the PodRide business. It also means that we can raise investment much faster, and have investors that are aligned with our plans to develop affordable and sustainable transport.
We will release full details regarding the investment opportunity when we are ready to launch the funding campaign. We will be raising the funds in Europe, and because of Swedish regulations, the number of investors will be limited to a maximum of around 190. We would like to gauge the level of interest in this matter within our supporter base.
If you are interested in investing and owning a stake in the PodRide business could you please register your interest by filling out the Expression of Interest form. This is completely obligation free.
Please Note: Whilst supporters from many countries around the world will be able to invest in PodRide, unfortunately supporters in USA/Canada cannot invest via the equity crowd funding platform due to regulations. If you are a US/Canadian supporter that is interested in investing US$20K or above in PodRide, we may be able to work something out – so please complete the form too.
Taipei Cycle Show 2017
During March PodRide attended the Taipei Cycle Show. It’s the largest cycling show in Asia and had around 1200 exhibitors from Taiwan and around the world. It was a great opportunity for our suppliers and partners to see the PodRide prototype in person. (As can be seen in the photo montage, Mikael rode PodRide to the show.)
We spent most of our time scouring the Cycle Show talking with potential suppliers and searching out key components for PodRide as we work to complete our Bill of Materials. Speaking of materials, at the same time as the Cycle Show was running a Sports and Textiles show was also on and we found some suppliers of fabrics that may be suitable for the PodRide canopy.
Outrageous Acts of Science
In March PodRide was featured on Discovery Channel’s fantastic show: “Outrageous Acts of Science”. They put together a “Bucket List” of 20 awesome things to own (or do) in your lifetime, and PodRide came in at number 7.
